Install the ESPN Sync extension
Install manually for trusted testing, connect your account once, then preview and sync the selected ESPN league. Chrome Web Store installation is not required for this development setup.
How it works
- 1Open the Extension page in TacoBot and download the ZIP.
- 2Extract the ZIP into a permanent folder. Choose the folder containing manifest.json, not the ZIP itself.
- 3Paste chrome://extensions into Chrome's address bar. Turn on Developer mode, choose Load unpacked, and select that folder.
- 4Pin TacoBot ESPN Sync. The website cannot automatically confirm it is installed.
- 5In Profile, choose Connect League Data. Paste its code into Connect this browser in the extension, then choose Connect browser. Repeat separately for Live Draft only if needed.
- 6Open your ESPN league while signed in. Confirm the TacoBot destination and season, choose Preview League Data, review the warnings, then Sync League Data. Keep the popup open until it finishes.
Keep in mind
Updates are manual. Stop live syncing, replace the files in the same folder, reload the extension, and refresh ESPN tabs. Do not remove the installed extension unless you intend to clear its saved connections. Last successful sync records confirmed uploads on this browser; being connected alone is not a sync.
