Import historical ESPN seasons
Bring one prior ESPN season or a full range into TacoBot without changing the active league and contests.
How it works
- 1Install or update TacoBot ESPN Sync to version 0.13.0 or newer.
- 2Open League Hub Settings and find Import Historical ESPN Seasons.
- 3For one year, enter the season, ESPN league ID, and display name, then select Create Season & Import Code. For a full dump, choose the earliest season and select Create All Seasons & Batch Code.
- 4While signed in, open any page for that ESPN league. In the extension, choose Historical season(s) (complete import).
- 5Paste the single-season or six-hour batch code, then select Read Historical Season(s). Keep the popup open while the extension loads each season-specific draft recap and completed week.
- 6Review the preview counts and warnings, then select Import History. A batch uploads every readable season in order and lets you retry failed uploads.
- 7Return to Season History to confirm champions, runners-up, imported weeks, draft picks, warnings, and last-synced times.
Each season is committed as one batch, so a failed season submission does not leave that season partly imported. ESPN may not expose every old draft board or NFL kickoff schedule; TacoBot reports unavailable sections and saves the season data ESPN does provide.
How far back can I go?
The guided importer supports 2010 onward. Choose the earliest year once and TacoBot creates or reuses every inactive season through the year before your active season. Years without an ESPN draft board can still import the other available history.
Do I need to open every Draft Recap?
No. Keep any page for the ESPN league open and signed in. Extension 0.13.0 loads the exact seasonId recap for every selected season.
What is imported?
The importer collects teams, final rosters, league rules, head-to-head games when kickoff history is available, completed weekly lineups and scores, the draft board when ESPN exposes it, and final standings.
Can I run it again?
Yes. Generate a fresh code from Season History for one season, or generate a new batch code in League Hub Settings. Reimporting refreshes retained teams, games, weekly results, draft picks, standings, and summaries.
Does this activate the old seasons?
No. Historical seasons stay inactive. Your current season, team selection, active contests, and automatic synchronization remain unchanged.
