Start a contest from a template

Contest templates provide a ready-made starting point while keeping every contest field editable before creation.

How it works

  1. 1Open a league hub and select Create Contest.
  2. 2Choose a template at the top of the form. TacoBot fills in its contest type, title, question, choices, scoring direction, or agreement terms.
  3. 3Review the synchronized league season, week range, visibility, and every prefilled rule.
  4. 4For prediction templates, select the teams or customize the answer choices.
  5. 5Create the contest, then use its normal page to collect picks, import results, resolve outcomes, and record penalties or payouts.
Keep in mind

Selecting another template replaces the current form values. Weekly scoring and punishment templates depend on synchronized results; prediction templates use the Open Bet resolution workflow.

Can I customize a template?

Yes. A template only prefills the form. You can change its title, wording, weeks, options, visibility, payout, or penalty rules before creating the contest.

What happens after creation?

A contest created from a template behaves exactly like one created manually, including permissions, locking, result synchronization, fulfillment, and the league hub activity feed.
