How to read Thanos Index

A higher score means the team spreads its targets across more players instead of relying on one or two receivers.
Target chaos = 100 × (1 − sum of squared player target shares). The score is not normalized by receiver count; teams need at least five counted targets.
aDOT is average depth of target in yards, including incomplete passes and targets behind the line of scrimmage. Targets with missing air yards are excluded from the depth average, not treated as zero.
Team aDOT is weighted by targets with recorded depth, rather than averaging player averages. The weekly article plots that week's player targets and aDOT; the season table combines targets through the selected week.
