How this ranking works
How to read Clutch Time
- A leveraged target is a target on a third down, in the red zone, in a goal-to-go situation, in a close fourth quarter, or in overtime. A target can qualify in more than one way.
- The Clutch Score applies weights to those situations: third down +1, red zone +1.5, goal-to-go +1.5, and close fourth quarter or overtime +1. The total is divided by five times the player's leveraged targets.
- TTLT = Total Team Leveraged Targets.
- Clutch Score and Leverage Target Percentage are related but can mean different things. A player can have a high Clutch Score from a few high-value targets but a low Leverage Target Percentage because of the few opportunities.
